The Dive Victoria Group Booking Terms and Conditions

  • All dives must be paid for in full before departure.
  • The Dive Victoria Group has a 24hr cancellation policy on all bookings. This is 24 hours from the time that the activity is going to take place. Cancellation within 24hrs of the activity will incur a full service fee. This includes pre-paid members when minimum numbers relied upon their booking or when there is a full boat.
  • Dive Victoria Group will always endeavour to run to the published dive schedule, but reserves the right to change site, reschedule, or cancel a dive if weather conditions, divers safety, shipping or diver experience level is not appropriate.
  • If these circumstances should arise, all divers are expected to dive alternate site.
  • Divers must be present and checked in at least 30mins prior to departure time. And they must be present and checked in at least 60mins prior to departure time if they require hire gear.
  • Failure to show will incur a full service fee for the day.
  • Minimum numbers are required for all trips, and trips will be cancelled if these are not met.
  • They must have a valid fishing license or seniors card if they intend to collect seafood.
  • DVG reserves the right to refuse any person from boarding a DVG vessel if they believe they are under the influence of any illegal substances or unfit to dive.
  • All divers diving past 30m are required to carry a redundant air source and be experienced in its use.
  • Any penetration into a wreck requires a wreck certification and below 18m they must also be carrying a redundant air source.
  • No solo diving is allowed from any of DVG vessels.
  • All of the equipment being used aboard a DVG vessel or at a DVG location is in current service and test as per the manufactures recommendations and accordance with AS 2030.
    • This includes having an alternate air-source, SPG, depth indicator and timing device.
  • Before entering the water from the boats all divers will be checked by DVG staff. They need to see 2 breaths, in and out from each regulator. The pressure gauge above 200bar, a BCD that inflates and holds air, and if wearing a Drysuit that it is also connected and can be inflated. Failing to meet these checks will result in you not being allowed to enter the water and will therefore have to forfeit the cost of the dive.
  • All customers are correctly equipped with personal gear or hire equipment in accordance with state, national & international standards for the activity they are intending on doing with DVG. This includes an emergency High Vis signalling device (Safety Sausage) and an audible signalling device (Whistle)
  • All divers must have previous experience using all equipment and be correctly weighted for every dive.
  • All divers must have dived in temperate waters and within the last 12 months, otherwise the diver is required to undertake an orientation or refresher program.
  • All information given to Dive Victoria must be given honestly to ensure your own safety.
  • The Dive Victoria Group reserves the right to refuse service if we are not comfortable that a person is capable of making their desired dive.
  • As a certified diver, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a dive plan that is appropriate for the dive site and is within your certification level and experience prior to boarding a DVG vessel.
  • Rebreather divers are required to sign and comply with a “Rebreather Declaration Form” prior to EVERY dive.
  • The maximum PO2 breathed on the bottom phase of is 1.4 and 1.6 for decompression. Maximum dive on air is 57m.
  • Packages cannot be split into different days. Once a package has been started, all dives and air fills associated with packages must be used. Any unused dives and air fills are non-refundable.
  • Dive and air fills cards are valid for 1 year.
