If you have ever wanted to fly through the water with the current propelling you like a rocket, covering vast amounts of terrain, then you need to dive a Drift Dive.
Water motion can have a tremendous effect on your enjoyment during your dives. Adequate training is critical to handling the various water motion conditions you may encounter. You will learn to interact with waves when entering from shore, how to react in a rip current and other water conditions.
There are many things to learn about currents such as:
If the current is blowing against the diver, how much current can a diver deal with? How does the diver move effectively in the current? How can somebody determine the strength of a current and plan the dive accordingly? WAVES, TIDES & CURRENTS can help you answer all of these questions. It is taught in conjunction with a minimum of 2 open water dives.
